Under the dynamic direction of our Music Director Jennifer Griesbach, our choir enriches our 10:00 a.m. worship with song. No special musical background or talent is needed. Jennifer and the choir welcome all who love to sing.
The Altar Guild is a group of women and men who prepare the altar for our worship services. Working in pairs or singly, they keep the silver sparkling, the crystal bright and linens immaculate.
Ushers welcome and seat those attending services, present the offering at the altar and tidy up after the service. Members of all ages serve as ushers.
Lectors contribute to our worship services by reading a lesson, leading the Psalm or offering Prayers of the People. Members of all ages participate in this ministry.
Adults and children in grades 4 and up carry the cross in procession and assist at the altar.
Greeters reach out to visitors, welcoming them, introducing them to other worshippers and answering any questions newcomers might have about the common life at Grace.
Prayer ministers are available at the end of the 10:00 a.m. service to pray individually with those who want to offer special intentions. They also take time after worship to pray through the prayer offerings written down at the back of the church.
Licensed by the Episcopal Diocese of New York, chalicists assist at the altar and offer the wine at the communion rail.
